Roundup has been linked to Neurotoxicity: Studies suggest potential neurotoxicity, affecting brain development, memory, and inducing anxiety-like behaviors.
The White house seeks to give these herbicide manufacturers legal immunity and will give them permission to open up a new mine on public land to move more herbicide production here to the United States.
As of February 2026, Bayer is facing approximately 65,000 to over 170,000 active and total lawsuits, largely driven by litigation over its Roundup weedkiller.
Bayer is seeing success in pushing for immunity for the hundreds of thousands of "Roundup" lawsuits, claiming that glyphosate was approved by the EPA. They have been successful in reducing their lawsuit payouts by huge amounts.
For ex. In 2024, the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas reduced a $2.25 billion verdict to $400 million, and another case saw damages reduced to $611 million.

Bayer is a German pharmaceutical and chemical company. Formerly IG Farben, Bayer played a significant role in the Holocaust. In fact, the Nazis would not have been able to start World War II without their help & support.
Bayer has a disgusting sordid history, and they largely got away with their crimes against the Jewish people, and humanity at large, until recently when they bought out Monsanto, just in time to get sued for Roundup, the cancer-causing weedkiller.
Bayer merged into IG Farben in 1925, which later played a significant role in the Nazi war effort and the Holocaust. This involved using slave labor from concentration camps, conducting dangerous medical experiments on prisoners, and producing Zyklon B for gas chambers.
Following World War II, Bayer re-hired former Nazis to high-level positions, including convicted war criminals.
It was the largest single company in Germany and it became the single largest donor to Hitler's election campaign.
IG Farben worked in close collaboration with the Nazis, becoming the largest profiteer from the Second World War.

In 1941, Otto Armbrust, the IG Farben board member announced "our new friendship with the SS is a blessing. We have determined all measures integrating the concentration camps to benefit our company."
Bayer also trademarked heroin, then marketed it world-wide for decades as a cough medicine for children "without side-effects" until 1912, despite the well known dangers of addiction. (yet Bayer knowingly continued to market it to the public).

Why should these companies who made billions from the suffering of others be above the law?
Other than vaccine producers, who for some crazy reason have legal immunity , every other industry can be sued when their products cause harmful side effects. Yet even that basic accountability seems to be disappearing now.
