Processed foods are a significant source of chemical exposure. For example sodas contain benzene levels 8X higher than the allowable level of drinking water.

Pesticide runoff has contaminated our oceans, rivers and lakes which further affects aquatic wildlife.
For this reason its important to avoid fish while on the detox (and in general).

A few years ago when I was experiencing severe acid reflux I followed this detox- i did it for a few weeks, due to the severity of the reflux. But even a week of following this plan can bring results. By the time the detox was over, my reflux was gone and I had lost 10 pounds.
The Seven Day Detox
Obviously, limit exposure as much as possible to prescription meds. Get off of all processed foods, meat chicken fish and dairy, for the duration of the detox.
1) Increase your water intake -
(pure spring water)
2) Kidney and Liver Cleanse-
The kidneys remove waste, control the body's fluid balance, and regulate the balance of electrolytes.

Most commercial breads are full of toxic chemicals, so i would avoid them. I ate 2 slices of kamut bread for breakfast (at around 10am) and 2 slices for lunch.
You can drizzle it with olive oil and salt, and eat a small salad with the bread for lunch. For dinner, a salad or homemade vegetable soup.
Aim to stay on the bread fast for 1-2 weeks.
The bread will clear out toxins from your digestive tract and reboot your entire gut, allowing probiotics (the good bacteria) to flourish.
5) Intermittent fasting-
close the kitchen at 7-8 pm maximum. Nighttime eating prevents detoxification. You can drink.
