Infrared Sunlight can Save your Life: It's Free & Critical for Your Health

All Chronic Disease has something to do with mitochondrial dysfunction. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. Much like a battery, they produce the energy that cells need to function.

As we get older however, energy output from the mitochondria reduces by 70%! Which means that our organs stop functioning well and metabolism slows down, creating fertile ground for disease.

The mitochondria produce Oxidative Stress as a byproduct of energy production, just like a car battery gives off heat. A U.K. study of 500,000 people had similar findings. People with high Vitamin D levels had much lower mortality rates for all chronic diseases than people with low Vitamin D levels. 

So, what is so protective about sunlight?

Russell Reiter and Scott Zimmerman wrote a paper about Sunlight that explains this phenomenon. Sunlight has different wavelengths. U.V (ultraviolet) rays which are short, and Infrared light which are long.


In their research they discovered that 

infrared light greatly aids the mitochondria by helping to keep it cool, and improving its energy output.  

Infrared light also stimulates melatonin production.


This is the secret to the suns great health benefits. 

Thats why just being in the sun can boost our health.


Infrared light is available all day, as long as the sun is shining and it can penetrate deeply into the skin (about 8 cm), whereas U.V. light cannot penetrate deeply. U.V. light is only strongest midday. U.V. light helps us produce Vitamin D, but infrared light fuels and protects the mitochondria, aiding the function of every single cell and organ.


Best time to get infrared light?

Truthfully all day, however, if you are concerned with U.V. rays, then firstly avoid all LA fats (vegetable oils: corn oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, soybean oil, all vegetable oils.) for 6 months, avoiding these fats will protect against sunburn, and secondly avoid the midday sun. 

Infrared light is also available when the sun is low in the sky, so the best thing is to get sun exposure first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon towards evening.

Minimum of 15 minutes per day.

You can be fully clothed because infrared light penetrates clothes.
