Constipated? The Revolutionary Diet that offers an easy solution to chronic constipation

1. Consume more Fiber

One of the first things you should do is to consume more fiber. Fiber from real food (not supplements) is good for digestion, and can relieve constipation.

The best fiber for constipation is insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber holds on to water, making stools softer and easier to pass.

One of the Highest sources of insoluble fiber is actually wheat bran found in wholegrain bread.  However, be sure to consume wheat bran in the form of wholegrain bread not as a supplement.

2) Water does a body good

Drinking enough water helps your gastrointestinal (GI) tract create the right consistency of stool.

Drink a cup of water multiple times throughout the day.

3) Umeboshi Pickled Plums

Umeboshi plums have been used for over a thousand years in Asia to improve digestive health.  Valued for their nutritional benefits, Asian cultures use this fruit as a digestive aid, as an anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic, and as a liver aid. These fermented plums are rich in probiotics, nutrients and fiber. They rid the body of parasites, and cleanse the colon, combatting both constipation and diarrhea and promoting healthy bowel movements.

We also have a special herbal supplement that combats constipation and promotes weight loss. Herb include: sea buckthorn, slippery elm and cascara sagrada.

Its called Weight Loss Pro, but when taken in the evening, it helps soften stools and cleanses the colon.

A 10- or 15-minute walk after a meal means your colon will get moving, too – which is a healthy, normal response.

Exercise gets things moving.  Aim to walk for 30 minutes to 1 hour or more per day.

6) Eat a Proper Breakfast:

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, at least in terms of bowel movements.  What should you eat for breakfast? Carbs? Caffeine?

I find that the best time to empty the colon is early morning.  Eating a Proper Breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Coffee does help, but relying on coffee long term is counterproductive, as ultimately it dehydrates the body and causes adrenal fatigue.

My solution: I drink the perfect caffeinated beverage that has lots of health benefits: Green Tea.(not all green tea is created equal- for the highest quality green tea click here.)

I pair my green tea with the ancient grain sourdough bread discussed above. This bread is loaded with fiber and is perfect for emptying the colon.

The Talmud extols the virtues of eating what's called Pat Shacharit, or Morning Bread in English.  The Talmud explains that there are 83 diseases that start in the digestive system and spread to the rest of the body. These 83 ailments all have the same root cause and are cured by eating bread in the morning.

The bread should be sprinkled with salt and accompanied with water to drink.

Upon arising I drink 1-2 cups of water and then I proceed to drink green tea (with cistus) and then I eat 1-2 slices of bread not necessarily immediately - I often wait 1-2 hours. But whatever works for you.
